Web Development

The key aspect of this web application was building a custom premium theme to integrate into WordPress and taking advantage of their powerful content management system and blogging functionalities. Everything from the hero image down to social icons can be updated or changed. I connected every piece of content to WordPress internal functions for upload and updating capabilities.

The objective was to have an easily navigated site and straight forward interaction. We felt that a one page web application would most suit this objective. Most used tools in this application were HTML5, CSS3, Brackets, Photoshop, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, and XAMPP. Once the mockup was complete everything was connected to WordPress to take advantage of their blog and CMS.

Summary

This project presented a new challenge. I was able to learn WordPress integrated functionalities in a short period of time to be able to connect to the content management system. The client had an idea of what he wanted as an end product and we were able to build off each other to achieve those objectives. Everything came out great and was well received. Below you can view the application before the WordPress integration and the application once integrated to WordPress. Please email me if you would like to view the complete source code.
